Beware of False Sites Claiming to Support Democracy

Recently I stumbled into a webpage listing organizations that offer Grant money to non-profit groups and organizations.

One of the organizations on that list was https://democracyfund.org/ and while I am a great supporter of democracy, I was not familiar with this particular organization, so I decided to check them out.

Now, let me drift off for one minute to explain that over the years I have constantly heard that Republicans were a group of rich old white men and since I grew up a poor white boy from a single parent family, I was supposed to hate them.

However as someone that grew up with a fair amount of logic, I have since discovered many things about money and power. The basic fact is that in "most" cases, it seems like it is "almost" impossible to find a very rich and powerful person that has ever said, "I don't want any more money or power."

I also have to admit that I grew up long enough ago to have been taught that Communism was a bad thing and that Communistic countries such as China and Russia were our enemies.

That is why I became so surprised to find a large company that was once owned by a man Sam Walton, that claimed to take pride in the fact that many of the products his stores sold were, "Made in America."

Now that he is gone, a person would find it difficult to find many items in a Walmart store that are "Made in America," especially if you look in the clothing, shoe or electronics departments.

As a result of the Walmart example where such a large percentage of their merchandise is from China, , it is plain to see that many corporate executives prefer financial profits over patriotism and supporting Americans or American workers.

I even remember a time in this country where auto makers had special parking spaces, all the way to the back of the enormous parking lots, that were assigned to any employees that were driving “foreign made cars.”

My, how the times have changed. Now, to get back to this “Democracy Fund Organization” mentioned above, I read some of their information written by the Democracy Fund President Joe Goldman and published on November, 4, 2020 stating,

“reports suggest the country had a relatively smooth Election Day, without widespread intimidation, interference, or administrative problems. “

My personal opinion is that to many powerful people in the media and politics have a tendency to speak, without knowing all the facts. In this case, if Mr. Goldman would have known that we have had some type of voter fraud or corruption in virtually every federal election as least for the last 70 years, combined with the facts that credible widespread allegations have been made indicating the amount of fraud, theft, corruption and illegality involved in this years election could be larger than all the corruption and fraud uncovered during the last 70 years combined, he might have taken a different tone in his writing, especially if he really is trying to support Democracy in the U.S.A.

He continued to write, “Now is the time to count every vote and listen to the voice of every voter."

Another comment he made was, “Authoritarian calls to end counting of legitimate ballots have no place in our democracy. The President’s calls to do so undermine the will of the people and violate a basic principle of democracy. “


I personally find it odd that if he believes in Democracy, he would not limit his statements to include, “Every LEGAL Vote,” especially since there have been reports of enough dead people voting in this election, to actually change the outcome of the election in certain states.

There have also been allegations stating there have been enough “Non American Citizens” voting to change the outcome of certain states.

I have to wonder if he approves of sates counting all the hundreds of thousands of votes that were counted two or three times or the exclude the votes that were “deleted” from voter machine counts?

I have to be honest and state that I do not know if Mr. Goldman has a different concept of Democracy then I do, or if he is simply trying to protect the grant money he receives from, organizations like the “Center for American Progress.”

In case you are not familiar with the Center for American Progress, you can look at Wikipedia and discover their description stating,

"The Center for American Progress (CAP) is a public policy research and advocacy organization which presents a liberal viewpoint on economic and social issues. It has its headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The president and chief executive officer worked for the Obama and Clinton administrations and for Hillary Clinton's campaigns. The first president and CEO was John Podesta, who has served as White House Chief of Staff to U.S. President Bill Clinton and as the chairman of the 2016 presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton. Podesta remained with the organization as chairman of the board until he joined the Obama White House staff in December 2013.

One of their branches is the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, also known simply as "Equitable Growth", a research and grant making organization founded in 2013 and "housed at the Center for American Progress".

Equitable Growth funds academic research in economics and other social sciences, with a particular interest in government's role in the distribution of economic growth and the role of public perceptions of fairness in shaping government policy."

I will be writing more on these organizations in the future, but in the meantime, I strongly suggest that before you make any donations to ANY organization, please conduct your Due Diligence and research who they are financially linked to.
